Technique

Its extraction is carried out through a small incision of approximately 1.5 cm on the inner side of each one of the cheeks and, by means of pressure from the outer face, the Bichat balls are extracted.
This fat that is removed is located between the masseter muscle and the buccinator muscle.
Normally, local anesthesia is used; except in those cases in which another intervention is simultaneously performed.

Postoperative

Swelling is usually minimal and gradually subsides. The result is not noticeable until after a month.

Aftercare

• After the intervention, good oral hygiene is recommended.
• Start eating with a soft diet.
• Most patients can resume their daily activities within three days.
• It is not necessary to remove stitches as they are absorbable.
• Avoid smoking and alcoholic beverages as they interfere with the healing process
