It consists of the implantation of a biocompatible material in certain points and perfectly defined paths of the retrolabial region (upper lip, lower lip or both); the desired effect is achieved, in this way, not by pure filling, but by support in the dental arch.

Lip reshaping treatments

Thanks to the specific hyaluronic acid for the area, we can do the following on the lips:

• Moisturize the lips, age and weather factors are the main cause of dehydration and dryness of the lips.
• Correct labial asymmetries.
• Lip profiling, with this technique we can achieve a fairly well-defined lip contour and in most cases it is possible to recover the natural appearance that we lose with age.
• Give more volume, as we age we lose density in our lips, with hyaluronic acid we manage to return that lost volume and thus improve small perioral wrinkles.
• Improve the corners of the lips, with age they tend to droop downwards giving our face that more aged look. (puppet expression)
• Improve perioral wrinkles, typical wrinkles that form on the upper and lower lip border that are accentuated when gesturing with the lips.
• Highlight the cupid's bow.
• Correct gummy smile, is when a large part of the upper gums is exposed when smiling, with hyaluronic acid we can hide this gesture.

Aftercare

A certain edema appears immediately and persists for a few hours. However, no external sign can be seen, so the reincorporation to socio-labour activities is immediate.

For twenty-four hours, smoking, eating very hot food or food that requires a lot of chewing, and excessive lip gesturing are not recommended.

It is a simple treatment, and at the same time excellent, which provides justified satisfaction in most cases. It can be modulated and perfectly adapted to all patients and situations, because it allows one, the other or both lips to be enlarged and/or advanced and/or outlined and/or reversed.
