Through otoplasty, the shape and size of your ears can be modified to give them a more pleasing appearance.
Prominent ears and loop ears are a very common congenital malformation. The basic defect is a localized abnormality in the auricular cartilage.
This anomaly can be found at two levels.
- Lack of cartilage folding at the level of the area called antehelix.
- Exaggerated development of the shell which is part of the auricular cartilage, or presents an excessively open angle in relation to the skull with the consequent effect that the ear appears detached from the face. li>
The loop ear correction is advisable to carry out from 6-7 years of age, once its development is complete.
