Polylactic acid

Polylactic Acid is an injectable cosmetic treatment intended for patients who want to restore the contours of their face or compensate for signs of ageing such as loose, wrinkled skin, lines, and folds.

Over time, your skin loses its full, firm, youthful appearance as a result of natural ageing. As the skin starts thinning and losing its natural elasticity, it becomes loose and starts to wrinkle. Technique

The mechanism of action of this implant is based on skin renewal at the cellular level with the progressive formation of new collagen.

Treatment with Polylactic Acid reverses facial aging progressively, without resorting to aggressive procedures or surgical interventions. It is injected into the dermis, through small infiltrations that cause minimal discomfort.

Subsequently, the product induces the formation of new collagen in a natural and progressive way, so that the patient gradually perceives a better appearance. Several sessions are required, 3 on average, to obtain the desired aesthetic result.

Once the treatment is finished, the results are very long-lasting, up to 2 years. It is possible to carry out maintenance sessions after said period. Skin aging is characterized.

Aftercare

Infiltrations can cause slight pain or burning where they have been made. Likewise, the skin may present a slight inflammation and redness during the days after the treatment. In this case, avoid exposure to the sun and ultraviolet rays until these symptoms disappear.

Therefore, everyone over the age of 30 is a candidate for this treatment since its use can prevent the progression of the signs of aging.
In order to obtain satisfactory results, it is essential that the treatment with Polylactic Acid should be carried out exclusively by doctors with adequate experience and training in its use.
Polylactic Acid produces a progressive and natural improvement that requires several treatment sessions. On average, 3 sessions are recommended in consecutive months, approximately one per month. Logically, each case must be assessed individually by the doctor to establish the number of appropriate treatments.
In general, the treatment sessions are well tolerated and cause minor transient discomfort that the doctor can minimize through the use of local anesthetics. Once the session is over, the discomfort disappears quickly.
