Breast Augmentation or mammoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to improve the shape and appearance of small, asymmetrical or sagging breasts, through breast prostheses.

Breast augmentation surgery is a procedure in which a reconstructive plastic surgeon inserts a breast implant under the breast tissue or under the pectoral muscle, thus increasing the size of the breasts. Breast implants can be inserted through a submammary, axillary, or areolar incision. Both the route of introduction and the situation of the prosthesis will depend on the assessment of each case.
